A warm welcome to Wallace Farm
Wallace Farm is a small family farm located in the peaceful and charming village of DINTON. We are fortunate to have the quiet and tranquillity of the village countryside but at the same time we are within easy reach of airports such as Heathrow and Luton. We are also very conveniently placed for London, Oxford and The Cotswolds.
Although it is preferable to have a car, we can also be reached by public transport (bus or train).
We provide a friendly and informal atmosphere for young and more senior guests alike. Our accommodation reflects the charm of a 16th Century Farmhouse whilst providing modern comforts.
Our Bed and Breakfast accommodation comprises three Double Bedrooms, with a choice of double or twin beds and with ensuite or private bathrooms. Breakfast is served in our traditional Farmhouse Kitchen.
Just across the Courtyard we have two Self-Catering Cottages that are let on a weekly basis (commencing on Saturdays). Our larger cottage, "The Old Foaling Box", can sleep four to six persons and our smaller cottage, "Keepers Cottage", sleeps two with an extra bed for a child if required.
There are plenty of excellent places to eat both in Dinton itself as well as in nearby villages.
Our business is family owned and operated and we offer a warm welcome for a comfortable and restful stay for all our guests.
Things to do - Places to go
On the farm we keep a variety of animals, the majority of which are old British domestic farm breeds. We have Highland cows, an old flock of Jacob sheep, Tamworth pigs, and a large selection of Ducks, Geese and Chickens.
There is a Farm Walk through the fields, woods and new plantations which demonstrate our commitment to regenerating the countryside.
For the serious walkers or ramblers there are plenty of public footpaths around the village as well as well documented circular walks just a short distance away.
Within easy reach of Dinton there are several Golf Courses, a Driving Range, Swimming Pools and a Riding School in the Chilterns Hills at Lacey Green.
There are plenty of attraction for the young to enjoy as well.
The Roald Dahl Museum in Aylesbury, a hands-on museum where children can enter the fantasy world of Willy Wonka, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory and The BFG – just a few of the popular stories from the world's favourite children's writer.
Bekonscot, England's oldest Model Village, and Legoland at Windsor are within easy driving range of Dinton.
There are numerous National Trust properties nearby. The closest is Waddesdon Manor, but also within an easy drive is Claydon House, Stowe Gardens, Hughendon Manor, Wycombe Hell-Fire Caves.
The Chiltern Hills are an area of outstanding natural beauty, with small villages tucked away down narrow lanes edged with hedges and wildflowers. Our nearest market town, Thame has many historic buildings with an open air market on Tuesdays. Oxford, which is steeped in history and tradition is only 30 minutes away.
If you wish to visit London it is only 55 minutes by train from Haddenham and the service runs late enough to enjoy a Westend Theatre if you wish.
